Import a shared bot from a template link

Open a public template link and Import Bot to get your own copy.

Method

  1. 01

    Open the template link

    A public link opens a preview on x.ai. Anyone who has the link can open that preview, so read it before you add the bot.

  2. 02

    Review what the template shares

    The preview shows the bot's identity, description, skills, and routines. Third-party bots are created by other people. The platform does not verify them.

  3. 03

    Add your own copy

    On a shared link, choose Add to Grok Bot. In Marketplace, choose Import Bot, or open the listing and choose Import Bot. You need the Grok Bot app to finish.

  4. 04

    Send a first message

    The copy is on your account. It does not include the creator's computer, sign-ins, or conversation history. Start with one concrete task.

  5. 05

    Limits

    A Team Bot is a different thing: one bot the whole team talks to. A template gives each person a separate copy.
