Questions
- What is a recipe, and what is a template?
- A template is an importable Grok Bot. A recipe is a setup on this site: the outcome, the connectors, and the official Grok Bot doc it was checked against. A recipe is not a bot you can import.
- What should a Grok Bot never do without approval?
- Keep sending messages or invitations, publishing, purchases and financial transfers, deleting or overwriting data, permission changes, production changes, and accepting legal terms behind an explicit yes. For passwords, two-factor codes, CAPTCHAs, and payment confirmations, take over the computer and complete that step yourself. Do not type a password into ordinary chat. An approval covers only the proposed action. It does not undo work the bot already finished. What stops for a prompt also depends on the tool, the risk, and your Auto-review rules.
- How do I schedule work without the bot acting alone?
- A skill describes how to do a task. A routine assigns that workflow to one bot and tells it when to run, on a schedule or, where supported, after an event. Test the skill on one real task before you create a routine. Say that the routine stops at a review list and does not send, post, or change records unless you approve.
