Start a routine from a Slack event

   Connect the Cursor account integration

   An event trigger, such as a Slack message, comes from a Cursor account integration. It is separate from a Slack plugin and may ask you to connect it on its own.

   Write a narrow rule

   Name the channel, and the phrase or link that must be present, and what the bot should do. Skip broad listeners such as every new message. They spend usage and act on posts that are not the job.

   Create the routine on the owning bot

   Ask that bot to start when the event matches, to do the skill, and to keep any reply or record change behind your approval.

4. 04

   Test before you enable it

   Use Test run with a safe input. Read what matched, what it produced, and whether it stopped before posting back to Slack.
