Questions
- How do I import a Grok Bot template safely?
- Open the public template link. The preview on x.ai offers Add to Grok Bot, and you finish in the Grok Bot app. In Marketplace the same step is labeled Import Bot. You get your own copy, not the creator's computer, logins, or conversation history. The link still shows that bot's identity, description, skills, and routines, so read those before you rely on it. Shared bots are created by other people, and adding one accepts the third-party bot terms. Then ask what it can do on your behalf and which actions should stay behind approval.
- When does a template page show Import bot?
- This site shows Import bot only when a public share link exists. The published templates in this index have those links, so each of those pages offers Import bot. Import makes your own copy. You do not get the creator's computer, logins, or conversation history.
- What should a Grok Bot never do without approval?
- Keep sending messages or invitations, publishing, purchases and financial transfers, deleting or overwriting data, permission changes, production changes, and accepting legal terms behind an explicit yes. For passwords, two-factor codes, CAPTCHAs, and payment confirmations, take over the computer and complete that step yourself. Do not type a password into ordinary chat. An approval covers only the proposed action. It does not undo work the bot already finished. What stops for a prompt also depends on the tool, the risk, and your Auto-review rules.
