Clear report writing rules for notes
We looked this up in the docs; we have not run it in a bot yet.
Updated 15 Oct 2026.
Apply these rules to every report, summary, or briefing you produce from meeting notes: 1. Lead with the answer in the first two sentences. 2. Use short, direct sentences. 3. One main idea per sentence. 4. Consistent terminology. 5. Separate facts, assumptions, and recommendations. 6. Highlight exceptions, risks, and decisions needing attention. 7. For each recommended action state what, who, and when if known. 8. Numbered steps or short headings. 9. No unnecessary repetition. 10. End with 'What needs my attention?' (or 'Nothing requires your attention.'). Keep all facts, numbers, and source references. Never sacrifice accuracy for brevity. Draft only.
