Talk to your bot by voice
You can talk to your bot out loud, or dictate a message and send it after you read it. A live voice chat starts from an empty message box. Dictation types into that box and does not send until you do.

Talk live with the bot
With an empty message box, open Start voice chat. There is no keyboard shortcut for the call. During the call, the header shows Voice chat. When you hang up, the thread may show a recap card from that session.

Or dictate a draft
On a computer, choose Start voice input, or press Cmd+D on a Mac or Ctrl+D on Windows and Linux, while the message box is ready for typing. On iPhone or Android, use Start dictation. Read the words, change them if you need to, then send.

Talking is not the same as sending mail
A voice chat or a dictated note does not by itself send email, post to Slack, or change a record. Those still stop on a draft or an approval.
Questions
- Is there a shortcut for a live call?
- No. The message docs say to choose Start voice chat from an empty message box. Cmd+D or Ctrl+D is for dictation into the box, not for the call.
- What if I hang up while it is still working?
- Ending the call does not always cancel the task. Recent release notes say the bot can keep working and drop the answer back in the chat afterward.
- Which microphone does it use?
- Pick the input under Microphone in Settings. If that device fails, the app tries your system default mic.
