What is a Grok Bot?
A Grok Bot is a named helper inside the Grok Bot app. It keeps its own chat, and you give it one job to own. It can use a computer that lives online, so work can continue after you close your laptop.

It keeps a job
On the bots help page, each bot is a named role with one job, its own chat, and memory that builds as you work. A one-off chat that forgets the role is a different kind of talk.

The computer is shared
A cloud computer is a computer online. The bots on your account share one. Files and website sign-ins there can be used by any of those bots. A second bot is not a lock on the first bot's files.

A template is a copy of the setup
A template is a share link. Adding it creates a copy on your account. It does not include the other person's computer, logins, or chat history.
Questions
- Is a Grok Bot the same as one chat message?
- No. A bot keeps a name, a job, and its own conversation. You still send a message when you want a task done now.
- Does each bot get its own computer?
- No. The approvals page says your bots share one cloud computer. Browser sessions and files on it are visible to every bot on your account.
- Where does the longer setup guide live?
- The public Grok Bot 101 guide says standing a bot up takes about 10 or 15 minutes. This site's first-bot recipe follows the get-started page step by step.
